Frequently Asked Questions

Yes absolutely - the fundamentals of health & fitness can easily be adapted to meet the unique areas of men's and women's health.

An important point to note is that when it comes to changing your body, whether losing weight or gaining muscle, it is a gradual process. This means that there is a minimum amount of time you need to train consistently for before you will see results. From current research and our own experience, we find 12-weeks is a sufficient amount of time for people to see great results and learn the fundamentals.

 

Therefore, our Online and Hybrid programmes have a minimum term of 12 weeks. When your goal is to transform your health and fitness, we wouldn’t be prepared to work with you for only a few weeks as this would be doing you a disservice.

 

For our in-person only programmes, we offer various options including single sessions, packs of 3 sessions and monthly rolling packs.

Yes, we cater to all kinds of diets and food preferences. We will take the time to understand your diet preferences before we start the programme in order to tailor it accordingly.

It depends on which programme you choose to do.

 

If you choose to work with us online only, then it is not mandatory that you join a gym. We will tailor your programme based on your preferences and the equipment you have available.

 

For the in-person and hybrid programmes, you will need to train with us at our home gym, the Hybrid Fitness Gym in Wimbledon, London.

 

If you are unsure which programme would suit you best, we will be able to advise you.

We offer programmes that include nutrition coaching which will include an example meal plan that accommodates your preferences. We encourage our clients to use them for inspiration while ensuring they know they do not need to stick to the plan religiously. As part of your nutrition coaching, we will teach you how to build your own healthy meals without having to rely on a set plan. Another key area we will teach you is the distinction between eating for weight loss and eating to maximise health, as they are both routinely muddled up.

 

This education piece is crucial when it comes to becoming self-sufficient with health and fitness and achieving long term results.

 

Please note if your programme does not contain nutrition coaching then you will not receive a meal plan or nutrition education.

Absolutely not - we have successful clients in their 60s! You can start this journey at any age and still see great results. In our opinion, there is no age limit when it comes to taking control of your own health and fitness in order to better your life!

During our consultation call we will do some discovery together to fully understand your goals, preferences and schedule. After this, we will know which programme will suit you best.

 

We offer 3 options: 1) Online only, 2) In-person only or 3) our Hybrid programme.

 

Once we agree on your programme, we will then personalise this to suit your preferences and goals.

 

You will be involved throughout the whole design process, which will help maximise your chances of adhering to and enjoying the programme.

In short, the diet is not restrictive regarding the foods you can eat - let me explain below.

 

Whenever your goal is to lose weight, tone up or drop body fat, you will have to restrict your ‘Calories’ so that you are in a calorie deficit. This is an important distinction.

 

What this doesn’t mean is that you have to restrict the foods you eat. We will build your meal plan around the foods you like because this is the only way to make losing weight or toning up sustainable.

 

Before you start, we will send you a brief questionnaire where you will tell us about what foods you like/don't like and any dietary requirements you have etc. We will then build this into your meal plan.

 

As we progress through your journey, we will teach you how to organise your nutrition so that you are able to maintain a calorie deficit if your goal is to lose weight or tone up.

 

A weekly check-in is a 15-30 min call for us to see how you are getting on with your programme - it's all about offering support, feedback on your progress, coaching, driving accountability and making adjustments if any challenges come up.

 

These sessions are what really drive the value of personal training and will be instrumental in helping you stay motivated, learn the fundamentals and achieve long term success.

 

Depending on your chosen programme, weekly check-ins will be conducted through Zoom, phone call or in-person.

 

In addition to weekly check-ins, we will also be in daily communication with you via the app’s instant messenger service.

Once you have decided to become a client, you will receive an email with instruction on how to make payment. After you have made payment, you will receive an onboarding email which will have instructions on how to get set up as well as a link to download the mobile app and set up your account.

 

If you need support getting set up, you will be able to contact us through instant messaging on the app, mobile or a Zoom call.
